About WorkMind

A better way to understand how you work — and build around it.

WorkMind is a practical workplace system for adults with ADHD, built around a simple idea: better performance doesn't always come from trying harder. Sometimes the conditions need to change.

Why WorkMind exists

WorkMind was designed to help people with ADHD build a way of working that actually fits them.

A lot of workplace ADHD support sits at one of two extremes.

At one end are corporate frameworks designed to help organisations manage neurodiversity.

At the other is generic productivity advice telling individuals to plan better, focus harder or build better habits.

WorkMind was created for the space in between.

It helps you understand the patterns behind workplace difficulty, recognise the conditions that affect your performance, and build practical ways of working around them.

This is the principle behind WorkMind: potential is constant — performance is conditional.

Why I built WorkMind

I’m James, the founder of WorkMind. I’ve spent more than 25 years working across demanding roles where deadlines, competing priorities, travel, administration and communication were part of everyday working life.

A later ADHD diagnosis helped explain why some parts of work came naturally while others could require far more effort than they seemed to for other people. WorkMind grew from trying to understand those patterns and build practical ways of working around them.

My approach is deliberately workplace-focused: practical systems, clearer conditions and usable support for adults with ADHD — not another set of generic productivity rules.

Where WorkMind came from

WorkMind grew out of more than 25 years of lived working experience — across demanding roles, changing priorities, deadlines, travel, administration, communication and the everyday pressure of trying to perform consistently.

Some parts of work came naturally. Others remained disproportionately difficult. The problem was never a lack of ability. It was the gap between how work was expected to happen and the conditions under which it actually worked best.

A later ADHD diagnosis helped make sense of those patterns.

WorkMind was developed from that combination of lived workplace experience, reflection and practical experimentation — understanding what repeatedly created friction, identifying the conditions that improved performance, and building simple tools for the moments when work became harder.

It is not a clinical programme or a generic productivity method.

It is a practical workplace system designed to help people understand their patterns, build approaches that fit them better, and communicate more clearly when work gets difficult.
